Polished concrete has the lowest maintainance in all flooring today. In the past, this type of floor was primarily used in industrial environments because a clean, light, reflective floor was needed and epoxies were not suitable.

This flooring option has made its way into the decorative market. You can find this in many up scale restaurants, retails stores, universities and hospitals, and showrooms of all kinds.

The process involves a concrete grinding machine which is used to process the concrete. Then the surface is machine ground with lower grit diamonds to remove imperfections . This is followed by higher grit diamonds which produces a higher gloss. A chemical densifier is added to increases the resistance of the surface abrasion, which makes the floor harder. The floor is Green Approved and is a sustainable surface.
